Introduction of the SSL technology

SSL (Secure Socket Layer) was developed by Netscape to protect the security of data transmission on the Internet, the use of data Encryption technology to ensure the data on the network will not be intercepted during transmission and telephone tapping. The current specifications of safety standards is 40 bit, United States already launched 128bit restricting the exit. As long as IE 3.0 or above or Netscape browser support SSL.The current version is 3.0. It has been widely used Web browser and server authentication and encrypted data transmission.SSL protocol in the TCP/IP protocol and agreement between the various applications for data communications to provide security support. SSL protocol can be divided into two: SSL Record Protocol: It is built on a reliable transport protocol (eg: TCP) on high-level protocol provides data encapsulation, compression, encryption and other basic functions of support. Another one is SSL handshake protocol : It builds on the SSL Record Protocol, before use data transfer, authentication between the two sides, encryption algorithm, exchange of encryption keys, etc.
Do you think SSL is 100% safe??
